CSI installs warehouse storage solution and office interior refit at Pentland Component Parts’ new headquarters in Edinburgh.

The Client

Pentland Component Parts are a family-run businesses who distribute a full range of automotive parts for all makes of cars and vans. With three different branches and 30 years’ experience, the company are fully equipped to provide customers across the Lothians with top quality brand name auto supplies.

The Challenge

CSI was awarded the tender for the full turnkey fit-out of Pentland Component Parts’ new headquarters. The company were impressed with the flexible and personal way in which CSI (formerly ESE) analysed their brief, choosing us over several other competitors. This large project involved industrial installations for the client’s warehouse and interior design work within their office space.

The Solution

The CSI solutions team designed, supplied and installed pallet racking and shelving systems in the new warehouse, including specialist display shelving for the trade showroom.  A mezzanine floor, providing approximately 9000ft² of additional floor space, was also installed to ensure that Pentland Component Parts were able to use their space in the most efficient way.  The installation included lobbies and escape stairs.

The office fit-out encompassed the supply and installation of ceilings, lighting, heating and ventilation, electrics, flooring and partitioning. CSI used a selection of heavy duty, stud and glazed partitioning to separate the area into distinct sections. Furniture and decoration for the full facility was included in the project.

CSI was also responsible for handling the building warrant for the project, following it through until the completion certificate was granted by the local authority. Careful coordination with all contractors, local planning office and the client ensured that the project was completed on time, within budget and to Pentland Component Parts’ complete satisfaction.
